AES 2.07 released Friday, 09.07.2010
Yes it's time for a update of "Airport Enhancement Services" again. Mainly because there were new airports to cover but there is also a nice new feature that allows you to control AES remotely, something that was requested a lot. Check out the Release Notes for all new airports but the highlights are Aerosoft's Andras Field, Mega Airport Munich, Mega Airport Amsterdam, Rotterdam X, Larnaca X, Barcelona X, Santorini X. Of course there are a lot of other airports created by friends and colleagues supported as well. Note some of the airports covered are not yet available.

AES 2.06 released Friday, 26.02.2010
The biggest update for AES in quite a while and one many people have been waiting for. Airport Enhancement Services 2.06 catches up with the many scenery releases of the past few months. From small freeware scenery to major releases like Mega Airport Amsterdam. There is also a fine new feature that allows passengers to walk to the aircraft instead of getting on the bus, important for some positions on some airports. There is also a tweak to the de-icing. Airport Enhancement Services update to 2.05 Sunday, 13.12.2009

It's been a while since AES was updated, and to be honest this update is not a massive one. No new features, only one fix and a small number of airports newly covered (Brisbane to VOZ 1.8, Helsinki to 1.6 and also FreeZ Zurich to the actual Version 0.9). But a lot more is being developed at this moment so this is just an intermediate update. If you are one of those simmers not using AES, you are missing out on something big. Thousands of users can tell you. It's a free try-before-you-buy product so why not take a look?

Airport Enhancement Services 2.04 released Tuesday, 08.09.2009

We got new scenery products so we had to have a new Airport Enhancement Services right? Now we do and it's already version 2.04. Besides the new airports covered (Aerosoft Monastir X, Nice X, Tegel, Luebeck and Luxembourg plus many airports by FranceVFR) there are also improvements in the gate menu so you can see what status all the services are in at that moment. Much requested feature that. As always, AES is free to try!

And while we are talking about AES, do vote for it at the simFlight Awards would you?

Airport Enhancement Services, more FSX airport covered Tuesday, 16.06.2009
Well... as we expected the simple fact that AES now also covers FSX seemed to have been enough reason for some customers to drop FS2004 and move to FSX. We seen that a lot of customers ordered a a few more credit packs and the scenery products to use them on. We understand them. If you liked the big aircraft FSX used to feel a bit empty without AES. The update to version 2.02 fixes a few issues and adds eight more airports for FSX. [more..]

AES 2.01 now officially released Saturday, 06.06.2009
After we already done a pre-release (which more or less means we were too chicken to fully release it) we are glad to announce AES 2.01 is now officially released. All the problems we still had are solved and AES is now 100% compatible with FSX and FS2004. If you were one of the many people who did not upgrade to FSX because there was no AES you just lost that argument. Of course Airport Enhancement Service 2.00 is totally free to try. Thousands of customers can't be wrong, do try!

AES database in Google Earth Monday, 26.01.2009
Nick 'Meatwater' Schreger and Soren Mathiesen have just updated their AES Google Earth database. If you load this small file in Google Earth (btw you do need that application if you like FS these days) you can see all the airports that are covered by AES 1.99. It's an amazing complete list these days. If you click the airports you will even find links to find the files. Neat!

AES and illegal codes Tuesday, 13.01.2009
AES is one of the most complex bits of software we sell, yet it is extremely stable. Still we see a good deal of customer support. Customers that complain that AES misbehaves or even fails. In almost all cases this is because the user has entered AES codes that he 'found' on the Internet (or codes his son entered, or codes that 'appeared' all of as sudden on his system. Fixing the problem is not easy, certainly not because we could not care less about your problems at that moment. We will go to great lengths to help a valid customer but not in these cases. So be clever and don't enter any codes you did not buy. We know of nearly all codes that are shared. And consider this, what you think happens to the person who paid for the code and we find his code on a machine of a user that has problems?
