Gibraltar X released Thursday, 29.07.2010
Here is one sweet looking scenery scenery project. Of course Gibraltar is one of those scenery projects that is always spectacular because of the layout, the geography and the fact it is all so condensed into one small area but simWings did an amazing job on Gibraltar X. The scenery will you surprises you with new things even months after you started using it. The use of AESlite to control the cars is especially impressive and something you have not yet seen in FSX. And FS2004 version will follow soon. Highly recommended!

African Airfield Adventures (free!) Tuesday, 20.07.2010
African Airfield Adventures (or AAA as we call it) is a rather special product. It's the only commercial FSX addon that we know that has scenery, missions and a complex carreer mode. But after it was completed we had a few files that were not used. So we decided to make a small free product out of them. This works without AAA of course, but will also work fine with AAA. It includes two very nicely detailed small airports, high dense mesh, landclasses etc. A fine example of what AAA includes.

Mega Airport Amsterdam Schiphol X Monday, 19.07.2010

Here is an airport where mesh plays no role, Mega Airport Amsterdam, Schiphol! It's now available for FSX, the FS2004 version was already available. It's a big and complex airport (not too many airports have six runways that are all used) that's located below sea level and a major hub for majur carriers. When you buy this one make sure you update AES as well as the new AES 2.07 covers this airport. As usual the customers of the FS2004 version will find the FSX version as a free download on their order history page. People who bought the product on other shops will find it at those shops late next week.

Take a short vacation, Antalya X released Monday, 19.07.2010
The Turkish coast has became a very popular holiday destination in the last decade (been there and I understand why). And almost all of the millions of people who go there fly into Antalya International airport. We are happy to add Antalya X to our product list right now. It's been done by one of our our internal scenery development teams and even if we say so, it looks pretty good. It's also innovative with very detailed animations and a superb frame rates (read the manual about that though). So why not take a short break and travel to Antalya?

Andras Field / Andras Airpark updated to 1.04 Monday, 19.07.2010
Andras Field / Andras Airpark keeps expanding. Not only has a new row of hangars just need completed, but there are also adventures available on the forum (great fun) and an Andras Field Aviation Club has been started (report here). Also five new inhabitants moved to the airpark last week. The only problem seems to be that the rabbits are multipliying like only rabbits can do in high summer. Make sure you get the last files from andrasfield.com!

Wasserkuppe X for free! Tuesday, 13.07.2010
While going over old files in dusty corners of the office we found the Wasserkuppe scenery for FS2004. And we missed it for FSX because we now have a superb glider but not the most famous glider airfield in the world, Wasserkuppe where gliding was more or less invented. It's located on top of a hill. sloped runway in a stunning setting. so LimeSim and Aerosoft worked together to bring this airfield in FSX and guess what, it's free. A gift from us to you. Just promise you check out the glider that fits so perfectly. Soon you can also fly aerobatics with a glider, stay tuned to this station.

FSAddon products now for sale at Aerosoft as well Monday, 12.07.2010
We always liked the FSAddon products because they fit so well with the VFR side of our product range. They do very good scenery and fine aircraft so we are happy that they are now available at Aerosoft. Let's start introducing the first two, the Super Cub and the Gloster Gladiator. While the Super Cub is still very much used (and loved) the Gladiator is more a thing of the past. Did you know it was the last biplane in active service by the RAF? Both aircraft are well priced and superb renderings of the real aircraft. Recommended!

Yes it's time for a update of "Airport Enhancement Services" again. Mainly because there were new airports to cover but there is also a nice new feature that allows you to control AES remotely, something that was requested a lot. Check out the Release Notes for all new airports but the highlights are Aerosoft's Andras Field, Mega Airport Munich, Mega Airport Amsterdam, Rotterdam X, Larnaca X, Barcelona X, Santorini X. Of course there are a lot of other airports created by friends and colleagues supported as well. Note some of the airports covered are not yet available.

Andras Field / Andras Airpark growing fast Thursday, 08.07.2010
With Andras Field we took a bit of a gamble, it's a strange concept and not like any other project Aerosoft has ever done. But by now we know this gamble will pay off because it seems there are many people who really like the idea and who are participating. Just keep in mind that buying a plot to have your own hangar is optional, just another feature of the project. By now we are already uploading the third version (1.03 is online now) and the special website is also up and running. Check out what customers wrote, seems they like it!
Update, update... a small addition to 1.03 is available here. [more..]

Aerosoft Scala Thursday, 08.07.2010
Last weekend one of the potential customers of Andras Field asked us how large one of the plots was (he'll probably wants to know if his Antonov 224 fits). And would you believe it, that was not easy to answer. Of course we could start to do maths with lat/lon but bloody hell that's complex. So we asked Stefan Hoffmann if he could make us a flying measuring tape. And he done even more then we asked for. Aerosoft Scala is an 'aircraft' you can slew around to measure things. It just works. If you are a scenery designer contact us at support@aerosoft.com and we'll get you a free copy.
